Red Diners

Time to celebrate the cheery color red again.  My theme this week is diners.  Many were known for their homemade desserts, too, and a good time was always had by all, right?  There was music, friends, a warm place to chat, good food, friendly service, and a cheerful atmosphere.  Plus the color red is known to make people hungry.  Enjoy the pictures!

  2. Ah, truly vintage Americana! I recall a diner I patronized as a kid was in an old trolley car. It had a jukebox!

  3. This is a lot of fun -- a real blast from the past. I wonder what trouble one could find at a dessert diner.

  16. Love diners. Wish there were more around.
Jukeboxes, and counter stools (especially the kind one can swirl on,) and always the best desserts! At a diner you have to have a piece of pie.

  18. There is just something cool about diners. I just was visiting my FIL today and his first real date with my MIL (who died in Feb) was to a diner near the military base. He said there was a song (he told me the name and I wrote it down, but it is out in my car!) that played 3 times and it was very romantic. I really laughed at romance in a diner!! But it was romantic just to think about it!

  24. I love going to old diners that have been rehabbed. I wish we had more in my area, it's a shame so many just get disassembled to make way for parking lots and other unattractive things. I loved looking at all your photos, happy VTT and thanks for sharing!
