Yogurt Cake: A 1, 2, 3, 4 Cake Recipe From France

Yogurt cakes are popular in France and there are many recipes. This is an easy to remember one, because it follows the 1, 2, 3, 4 formula. It is also different from most French recipes because it uses a yogurt cup for measuring rather than grams or weight. My cousin was given this recipe by the hotel chef during a vacation to the Loire Valley, where there are so many beautiful castles.

1, 2, 3, 4 French Yogurt Cake
1 individual container of yogurt (6-8 oz. for most brands)
1 container (yogurt cup) of oil
2 containers (yogurt cup) of sugar
3 containers (yogurt cup) of flour
4 eggs
1/4 packet of yeast

Mix all ingredients. Pour in rectangular loaf pan. Bake in hot oven (thermostat 6-7 or about 375F) for 35 to 40 minutes.
