Mrs. C's 1st Grade Hot Fudge Upside-Down Cake
Cake Ingredients
1/2 stick butter, softened
1/2 cup milk
1 cup flour
1/2 cup sugar
3 tablespoons cocoa powder
2 tablespoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon vanilla
Topping Ingredients
1/2 cup sugar
3 tablespoon cocoa powder
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1 1/2 cup hot water
Preheat oven to 350F.
In a bowl, mix all dry ingredients with a spoon. Add milk, vanilla and butter, and mix well.
Pour batter into an 8 or 9 inch square cake pan. Gently shake or tap pan to smooth out and level batter.
In a bowl, mix all the dry topping ingredients and sprinkle over the batter.
Slowly pour the hot water all over the top of the cake. DO NOT STIR!!
Bake about 40 minutes. Let cool in pan for 10 minutes.
Spoon cake and sauce from bottom of the pan into bowls.

Tamy: Thank you. No talk of weight gain allowed on a dessert blog. LOL. Actually I like the don't deprive ourselves and eat in moderation method. It works for my figure.
