Faith The Size Of A Mustard Seed Is Enough

Here in Southern California, the hills are bright green and yellow right now as the wild mustard flowers are in full bloom. It is a gorgeous site and always reminds me of this verse. It's a great verse to remember because I think most of us at one time or another will go through periods where our faith is tested, but all we need is faith the size of a mustard seed and we will still be able to move mountains. Now that's powerful!

I don't have a dessert with mustard for you. LOL! Although I'm sure there must be one out there because there's desserts with pepper, hot chile, and even garlic ice cream. I wouldn't want the hot chile in any of my dishes, but pepper can actually taste really good in some desserts and I add it to my chai tea. The other morning while I was still too sleepy, I inadvertently added pepper to my peach tea thinking I was making chai. OOPS! I tasted it just to see what it would be like, and guess what? I was very pleasantly surprised. This Mickey liked it! :-)

Wishing you all a pleasant day!

  1. Oh, that is a beautiful picture and wonderful reminder of God's power available to us little people!

Now mustard in a dessert sounds intriguing. I think you need to maybe come up with something or would that be a little on the scary side! :)

I can relate to this post so much right now because I have nothing but praise to God, He has played a huge huge role in our family's life right now and in the midst of things going on....He showed how faithful He is when we learn to have faith and let go to Him!

    We have an awesome God!

  16. Thank you, all.

Lana, Twinkle Mom and Amy: yes, looks like I do need to find a mustard recipe. :-)

Terri Sue and Jenelle: I agree, the mustard flower is so beautiful. Too many people think of it as a nasty weed, just because it grows wild. It makes out hills look gorgeous each Spring and I was so glad when I found out a few years ago that these pretty "weeds" were wild mustard flowers. Not just the seeds are edible. I have read recipes using the leaves and flowers too.

Twinkle Mom and 4urpets: Thank you so much about these latest awards! (((HUGS)))

Tartasacher: Thank you so much for letting me know that you know English. Now I'll be able to comment! I really like your blog.

Gloria: Thank you for the information. I will go check her blog. :-)

  21. Bonjour.
